Abstract

The contents of the concepts of social and emotional intelligence are very similar. The question may arise whether they should be considered as one or two different concepts. In our contribution, using results of empirical research, we have made an analysis of the relationship between social and emotional intelligence. We have used the scale TSIS (Tromso Social Intelligence Scale) and the questionnaire ECI (The Emotional Competence Inventory). The research sample consists of brokers from two broker companies acting in the Slovak market. The results of research are supporting similarity, but also some differences of both kinds of intelligence.
