The article focuses on camps that existed in years 1939 – 1945 and on different forms of camps after World War II (1945 – 1948) as labour, concentration and custodial camps. Its aim is to find out the state of internment camps in difficult conditions of Slovak republic. The main emphasis is on labour units because of similarities with labour camps in 1945. The subject of Jews is described as the case of their continual existence (Nováky, Sereď, Svätý Jur, etc.).
