Abstract

The authoress of paper divided the article The birth of marital family in the modern West-European context to two parts. In the first part the basic of two sexual revolutions is analysed in sense of Edward Shorter. Approximately on the end of XVIII. century, underwent, according to E. Shorter, a first revolution of pre-marital sexuality. The second revolution had its course during the sixth decenium of XX. century. The second part of paper is devoted to forming of marital family in the modern society. Here the authores is introducing the class differences, which constituted the modern family. The "romantic love" was inserted into a marital family by lower classes, "Children hapiness" was elevated to the highest status by middle classes. In these two lines, a spirit of household was created in bourgeois and working families as the third eruption of sentiment inside the family circle.
